Summerfest Goes To Oz Pedestrian Parade

August 17th, 2012

Grab Toto, your Ruby slippers, or a flying monkey
and enter the “Summerfest Goes To Oz” Pedestrian Parade.

By entering the parade in costume, walking or with a pedestrian pulled “wagon-float” (the kind you pull your kids in), you can win cash prizes of $150 for the top family/group entry or $50 for the top single entry.

The parade is open to all ages.

Registration is free.  Register now or you can register the day of the event.

Check-in is 6:30 p.m.  in front of the Denton Town Hall on the corner
of 4th and Gay St.

Parade step off is 7:00 p.m.~ same place.

Judging is based on creativity, showmanship and theme.

No decorating restrictions apply but it is a family festival, so for the sake of the kids and grandmothers, discretion is advised.

The Summerfest parade has featured the NCHS Band of Blue, jugglers, stilt walkers, dancers, crowned princesses, local dignitaries, the Shriner’s Mini Boats, and hopefully YOU!
